Thank you to our customers and every business we’ve spoken to that has shared with us their challenges and needs.
Recently, Ricoh was recognized with the Buyers Lab (BLI) PaceSetter Award in Business Process Services for 2020-2021. Our IT and managed print service offerings played a big role, but so did our Intelligent Business Platform, a new service inspired by you, our customers.
What is the Intelligent Business Platform?
The Intelligent Business Platform is a cloud platform that consolidates our wide-ranging and evolving content services into a single library on a pay-as-you-go model. With IBP, you can select the workflow, process automation, intelligent capture and document digitization tools (and more) that meet your needs today, and pick-up new services to scale your efforts tomorrow.
What BLI said about IBP and our approach to Business Process Services
Buyers Lab noted: “With its Intelligent Business Platform, Ricoh provides a holistic approach to BPS.”
The world of business is evolving so quickly. We understand organizations need ways to get the tools they need now without huge investments and commitments. Managed IT, comprehensive managed print services such as Managed Print as a Service (MPaaS), and the robust yet flexible IBP bring scalable and affordable business process solutions to organizations of every size.
Regarding the companies receiving awards, Jamie Bsales, Director of Smart Workplace and Security Analysis at Keypoint Intelligence (the organization behind the BLI awards), said:
“Managed services are playing an increasingly important role for office equipment manufacturers and their channel partners. In addition to better addressing customer needs and helping solve their pain points, a broad portfolio of services can convert a ‘transactional’ customer into a ‘relational’ one, which opens the door for ongoing sales in all areas a vendor offers.”
Other key points BLI noted regarding what earned Ricoh the PaceSetter Award for Business Process Services:
"Strong adjacent offerings in managed print and IT services…make Ricoh a one-stop-shop for a range of solutions.”
“Proven track record of implementing managed document services and vertical-specific workflow solutions.”
IBP “lowers the barrier to entry”
Business challenges addressed by IBP
It would be easy to say IBP addresses business processes and workflows. Businesses around the world use the applications and tools in the IBP library to streamline how their people communicate, collaborate, and work. In this way, IBP empower employee productivity and helps businesses drive toward their goals.
But IBP goes beyond technology, which is essential today. Other challenges addressed include:
Remote workforce. The cloud applications featured by IBP make remote work both productive and possible.
Geographically diverse offices. Automated workflows bridge the geographic gaps many employers and employees face today, keeping processes moving. Remote work may be part of this, but so too are offices located in different locales around the country.
Budget. The pay-as-you-go subscription structure makes it possible for any organization to get started with enterprise technology. Maybe you’re a small business that otherwise couldn’t afford enterprise applications or simply have tight budget demands – either way, IBP works with your budget.
More tools with less infrastructure. Being cloud-based, you don’t need to add hardware to run the applications. All you need is your PC in the office or home office and an internet connection.
Promoting a safe workplace. By replacing paper-based processes with digital workflows, people remain connected while reducing contact.
Support & backup. As a cloud application, all of your data is secured and backed up in the cloud, reducing the need for additional support teams to manage. Your team also doesn’t need to become experts on the “nuts-and-bolts” of the application – we take care of that for you. If you need support, we are only a phone call away.
What is the PaceSetter Award?
Per Buyers Lab: “the PaceSetter awards recognize those document imaging OEMs that have shown market leadership in a variety of categories, including with technologies, services, and key vertical markets.”
Who is BuyersLab?
Behind the Buyers Lab awards is Keypoint Intelligence, an “independent, hands-on testing, lab data, and extensive market research” firm recognized “as the industry’s most trusted resource for unbiased information, analysis, and awards.”
